Shumard oak trees (Quercus shumardii) are majestic deciduous trees native to the southeastern United States. They're known for their impressive size, often reaching heights of 80-120 feet with a broad, spreading crown. Their leaves are distinct, with 5-9 deeply cut lobes and bristle tips, turning vibrant shades of red, orange, and sometimes yellow in the fall.

These trees are a popular choice for landscaping due to their beauty and resilience.

They can tolerate a variety of soil conditions and are relatively drought-resistant once established. Shumard oaks also provide valuable habitat and food for wildlife, with their acorns being a favorite of squirrels, deer, and birds. With their fast growth rate and stunning fall foliage, Shumard oaks make a striking addition to any landscape.
